Marceline?

Who Is Marceline?

I’m Marceline Colquitt, a Presidential Honors Scholar at NYU studying Computer Science and Neuroscience. However, I am transferring to Fort Lewis College in Durango during the spring. I build at the intersection of clean design and practical engineering. Founder of Valoria Development LLC and the web designer behind NYU’s PIVOT Lab site and outreach materials. My work ranges from fast, accessible WordPress builds to shader systems in Unreal Engine 5, where I’m developing a stylized roguelite project and custom asset pipelines. Look for APANTOMANCY soon!

I care about speed, clarity, and craft. To me that means thoughtful typography,  recognizable brand, and motion used with intent; Lighthouse-friendly performance budgets; and interfaces that feel obvious without a manual. I prototype old school, on paper, ship with WordPress + Visual Composer, and stay fluent in Photoshop for the moments where illustration, layout, or retouching pushes a project from good to great.

Academically, I’m focused on computational neuroscience and brain-computer interface concepts, curious about how we can translate signal and intent into useful interaction.

What Is Valoria Development?

Valoria Development is my studio for clean, fast, and honest web work. I design and build sites that load quickly, explain what you do in plain language, and make it easy for people to take action—buy, book, sign up, or reach out. Typical projects: marketing sites, rebrands and rebuilds, e-commerce with WooCommerce/Stripe, and booking/reservations pages for services and rentals. I also take on audits and refactors when a site is slow, messy, or hard to update.

I ship with WordPress + Visual Composer because it’s practical for most teams. The focus is on tidy structure, accessible components, and performance budgets baked in from the start. I keep the CMS clean—sensible page templates, fields where they belong, and documentation your team can actually follow. With video tutorials, everyone on the team understands how to update their posts, pages, and moderate them without spending hours learning.

After launch, I don’t disappear. I offer care plans (updates, backups, uptime checks), lightweight analytics, and simple SEO foundations so the site stays healthy. If motion or custom visuals will help, I’ll add them sparingly: small, purposeful touches over noise.

Values are simple: clarity over jargon, speed over spectacle, and collaboration over handoffs. If you want a site that looks good, loads fast, and doesn’t fight you every time you edit it, that’s what Valoria is for.

I owe my success to my teacher Gina Lewis and all the people along the way, thank you Mrs. Lewis.
